8 1/2 weeks old now...

Hello Everyone,

Sorry it's been a little while for me to post new pictures of the kids but everything takes so much time and I have a big show coming up in Redmond Washington this weekend. If you only knew how much time it takes to get a dog REALLY ready to show in AKC conformation...(though I am sure some of you do and can appreciate it).

The puppies are doing really well. They have decided it's time to figure out who the boss is amongst them though so we have had a few disagreements and time outs..

It was bath time again tonight but pictures came first this time. The second time around was much nicer for me and for them. They were really good in the water and during the brushing and drying evolution as well.

Identification time!

TOP LEFT is the dark grizzle girl.
LOWER RIGHT is the boy.
LOWER LEFT is the lighter grizzle girl.

At this point I have selected a wonderful home for one of my two girls. The Germshield family in Calgary Canada will be receiving there new family member Memorial Day weekend. I have just about decided which girl I will keep and make a final decision after I come back from the dog show this weekend. There have been no placement decisions made for the male puppy as of yet..

My best to all of you and keep checking back!

First shot's and Pepper's update....

At 7 1/2 weeks old it's time for the puppies first shots. Two of the three puppies were not really happy about this event but soon got over it. Since they have been pretty quiet so I am keeping a close eye on them.

We are starting to see more horsing around in these little guys. I have discovered a few chew parks on some ears but neither other puppy will fess up to it, all halo's here!

It amazes me how fast they change day to day, watching there movement and structure to choose our next future AKC conformation Champion.

On a different note... Our girl Pepper is doing very well after her Surgery. She is in much better spirits today and ate all her food last night.

A sad day for Pepper.....

Its a sad day at White Diamond Terriers today... Our primary Norwich Terrier AKC conformation Champion Shonleh Kill Deer better known as Pepper has contracted Pyometra http://www.thepetcenter.com/sur/pyo.html Pepper's illness was suspected early due to prior experience witth this issue. She had been a little listless and had a loss of appetite but the clincher was her 104 degree temperature which made me very suspicious. I took her into the Emergency Vet clinic last night and after an initial blood panel and x-ray it was not apparent what was wrong with her. She stayed the night with IV fluids and medication then I brought her into my vet Dr. Benson at Desert Vet Clinic in Richland Washington first thing this morning. After his initial exam to include a second set of x-rays and blood panels he decided to do exploratory surgery and discovered her diagnosis...Pyometra. She was spayed earlier this afternoon and is recovering nicely... Pepper will now join my other retired girls waiting for a perfect retirement home where she can live out the rest of her life on the couch in front of the TV. Your thoughts and best wishes are always appreciated.

First baths!

Welcome back to White Diamond Terriers!
Your watching Rachel and JR's 3 puppies continue to grow up. Above you will see our puppies first bath pictures from tonight.
They actually did pretty well for a first bath. Don't let anyone tell you any different, Norwich get a puppy dander as there coat thickens up. It is a yellowish flake that resembles human dandruff but it goes away with normal bathing and blow drying.
The puppy on the left in the pink towel is the lighter grizzle girl. She did really well during her bathing and was pretty reasonable with the blow dryer as well.
The middle puppy in the yellow towel is the grizzle boy. He was a little reactive during his bath and wanted to run around during his blow drying.
The soapy puppy on the right is our dark grizzle or red girl. She was the most energetic during her bath but pretty relaxed during her dryer experience.
All the puppies will be 7 weeks old tomorrow... wow they grow up so fast. They are developing relationships with each other, playing together and having a ton of fun tearing paper towels and playing tug-o-war in the kitchen daily.
Till next time...

New litter picture!

After tireless moments and many takes I finally secured a great picture of Rachel's puppies. They are doing great and growing like weeds. They have plenty of teeth now and are will on there way to leaning how to chew on shoelaces, socks, toys and of course fingers! At six weeks old they are off there Mothers milk and on soaked puppy food now.
So much fun at this age! Too small to escape...
Good bye for now. If your interested in more pictures or any information about White Diamond Terriers please feel free to email.

Dew Drop!

Dew Drop is the remaining female puppy from a beautiful breeding that produced 2 girls and two boys. Dixie has been a wonderful Mother to this litter and her brother Rocky has kept a close eye correcting any mischief they had gotten into.. The two boys have great homes and the second girl has been retained by Elina for show.

As you can see Dew Drop is a very healthy 11 week old puppy who might be available to the right home. She has a wonderful personality and is current on her shots. She may also have potential to be a future AKC conformation champion if interested in showing as well..

Rachel's puppies are 4 weeks old now!

Hello Everyone! CLICK ON THE PICTURE PLEASE

It's time to update the group photo of Rachel's puppies. They are 4 weeks old now and starting to get out of there whelping box so this weekend it will be time to go into a puppy pen.

They have been getting plenty of socialization with my pet sitters and friends so they are pretty well socialized and afraid of nothing!

From left to right we have the grizzle male, the red girls and the grizzle female. I really like this litter and have high expectations for some wonderful homes. I definitely plan on keeping the best to show later.
