Dejected Maddie...

Maddie is a puppy I placed with Marlene and Harlen Hulett many years ago. The Hulett's have two of our Westies.

Chris,

well here are the pictures!! She did not have "cherry eye" after all. The Dr said it was an injury just above the cherry eye gland that caused the swelling. The surgery went well. The Dr still did everything she would have done if it was cherry eye. Due to the fact Harlen and I are so dedicated to these two little girls, she gave us a nice discount. Maddie must have injured herself without us knowing it. She does go at it with the dogs next door. They get on their side of the fence and our girls on our side and it is on. We always bring them in as soon as it starts. All I know is someway, somehow her eye got injured with no outside signs. Believe me we brush their teeth and I always clean out their eyes every day and never noticed a problem. It must have started inside, very deep, and then pushed the gland up and outside the eye. Hope you enjoy the pictures. She is still pretty out of it. Tonight should be quite a time. I don't know how she

Bart and Bradley's Mother Pepper heading home...

Pepper spends her retired winters in Arizona and summers in Canada. She is pictured here after spending a little time with my friend Karen in Phoenix while her owners where "on vacation". Pepper appears pretty happy as she usually does!

Bart's brother Sir Lancelot Braveheart aka Bradley

Lancelot held here by his owner Mark as the picture was taken by his wife Mary. I hear he has taken ove the household and is doing very well..

Bart is settling in...

Chris,

In week 2 Bart has become much more comfortable with our family and has adjusted well to the house. Here he is chilling on the couch with me.

We take 2-3 walks a day in our neighborhood and I've even hired a dog sitter to care for Bart when I have to be away. (Right now they are in the "getting to know you" stage.)
What a great little pup!
Best wishes for a great Thanksgiving!

My girl Sara's long lost last brother...

I have to say I was impressed by all Sara's litter mates. Doc is a very wonderful last brother to my girl Sara who lives with a very nice Veterinarian in the Seattle area. It appears he has the run of the place and obviously well cared for, Thank you Melinda for his photo's.

Izzy RKC winning photo.

Here she is. A very nice win for Izzy as it was her fisrt time in the ring taking Winners Bitch both days at the Richland Kennel club show.

I have decided to make Bart available as a pet puppy.

After careful consideration I have decided not to keep and show Bart making him available as a pet puppy. I wanted to show him as he is very worthy but I really can't have another male dog in the house at this time. Bart has many wonderful characteristics of any Norwich Terrier. He is loving, loyal and a great lap dog!

Coco checks in...

Hi Chris,

How is everything with you? I've been enjoying looking at the pictures of your latest puppies on your blog. Congratulations on Sara getting her AKC championship, she's a cutie!

It's been awhile since I sent you an update on Coco. She was at the groomer today so we took a few pictures when she got back. Her best buddy, Riley the Westie, passed away a couple of weeks ago at 15 years of age and she's adjusting to being the sole dog in the household. She's enjoying all of the extra attention we're giving her, but she's a little hesitant to eat her food in the morning without the top dog here eating his bowl of food first. Or maybe it's just that she doesn't feel as much pressure to gobble her food down without the threat of another dog eating what she doesn't! We're sure happy she's part of our family, otherwise our house would be feeling very empty now that Riley is gone.

I hope all is well with you and your pack!

Take care,
Rebecca

Lexi's 2nd Birthday

Hey Chris,

Just getting a few photos off to you of Lexi's 2nd Bday. The girls gave her
a Bday bath and then made her a "dog food" cake fit for a Princess!!! I
have also included the girls 1st day of School photo and a couple shots of
Lexi trying to catch her nemesis, a squirrel we call "Chippy"!! He taunts
her every day and this day they were playing chicken on the big tree in our
back yard.

Hope your fall is going well!! Beautiful day here today!!
Cheers,
Corrine et al!

our NEW AKC Ch. White Diamonds Sweet Sara

Obviously this is a baby picture of Sara but just the same she finished her AKC conformation title winning the first day at the Wenatchee Kennel Club Show. Sara is only one year old which is unheard of for a female Westie to finish her title so quickly. Along the way Sara won four majors three Best of Breeds and was Sweepstakes winner at the Western Washington Terrier Association.

I am very proud of her, we worked very well together and being her breeder, owner and handler made it that much sweeter!!!!

Leo and the Mathews Family

Scott, Mary and two of there three children took time from there busy schedule to retrieve there new family member Leo. Shown here is the entire family including mother Molly and sister Luci. There was a little controvery during the vist as a few of the family members wondered over to see Bart and Bradley our Norwich Terrier puppies but so far the jury is still out on weather they will be back for Bradley or not. Leo will be back in a few weeks for pet sitting while the family is away on Holiday so there is plenty of time left for though...

18 month old Gavin checks in from Alaska

Hi Chris

I can’t believe Gavin’s 18 Mo old and he hasn’t slowed down a bit. He can go from totally asleep to full alert in half a second. We should have called him Cosmo; I think he is from outer space half the time.

Our grandson was visiting this summer and they got along wonderfully. It was a good experience for both of them. Gavin had never been around a young kid and Brendan had never been around a dog.

We really enjoy him, although there is hardly ever a dull moment and we love him dearly.

Bill & Norma

Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks?

This is 9 year old Sunny and his new brother Teddy...

Hi Chris,

Well our first week went well. I am pretty tired though. Keeping up with this little one takes some energy. He is very spirited.

I gated him in my bath with Sunny and zipped him in his kennel with my closet door open (sunny loves to lie in his bed in my closet). Teddy found a way to
unzip the bag and was loose in the area with Sunny. Fortunately, Sunny was kind and did not bother him but Teddy managed to pull down some of my clothes
that hang on a low rod. I have devised a better plan for the times we are out of the house. We got a new gate and keep Teddy in the bath by himself with all
the doors closed. Sunny hangs out on the other side of the gate for now.

Sunny is basically ignoring Teddy. When Teddy approaches him, he just walks the other way. He has been very nice to share his car seat and his stroller with Teddy.
He doesn't seem to mind sharing as long as Teddy doesn't jump on him.

Teddy is getting used to going on the area we have designated for potty. It is artificial grass and he is doing well using the potty patch we bought. We keep it in the bathroom
for those late night potties. It worked great last night. He went on it right away. Yeah! Teddy is doing great on our walks too. He is doing well on his leash and just follows
Sunny. I am very pleased with his progress. He had his vet check and another at the end of the month. All went well. Everyone at the vet office just fell in love with him.
We have also taken them to the mall a couple of times , outdoor restaurants, the art show and Home Depot and have done a lot of driving with them in the car. Sunny has not trembled at all. I think he is cured!!! Teddy is doing so great with all of it. I figured I would expose him to our life right away and he seems to love it. We get stopped constantly with people asking about them. We have lots of
dog lovers around here.

That's the updated. Here are a few pics for you. Have a great day. syl

Luci is growing up..

Hey everyone, this is Luci, my Molly's puppy girl. Luci is just over 5 weeks old and I was pretty proud of these pictures so I wanted to post them. I am holding onto Luci for a few more weeks to evaluate her in hopes she is of show quality. If she is not she will be available as a very sweet pet puppy.

Pretty cute with her tongue peeking out...

Doc update frpm Dr. Melinda.

Hi Chris!
Doc is doing great! We go on 6 K walks every week and he is a fantastic walking dog. This morning he was quite helpful while I was doing my yoga stuff at home. He brought all his toys to me and then rolled over with a toy in his mouth trying to get me to play with him while I was doing the Down Dog pose. Very clever little mutt!

Here are a couple pictures - hope you enjoy them!

Cheers,
Melinda

Bart and Bradley still need homes...

It has been an odd year for puppy placement... I have some great owners out there and Sylvia just left with her second White Diamond Terrier puppy, Teddy. I want to believe Bart will be a show dog and want to put him in a show home. Bradley also has a wonderful temperment and is very affectionate but will only make a great family pet. Bradley is up top and Bart is the puppy shown below.

Teddy goes home...
